The Burleson Heritage Museum exhibits the history of Burleson, artifacts, photographs of the city fathers, and other local history.

Enjoy the spring-fed lake and maybe catch a glimpse of beavers building a dam at Cleburne State Park. Hike-and-bike trails zig-zag through limestone hills, canyons and wooded terrain. In early spring, bluebonnets blanket the open fields.

Located in Cleburne and built in 1912, the Johnson County Courthouse features a six-story open rotunda supported by four columns of matched marble ornately garnished in old ivory and gold-cut plaster. The dome features stained glass. Open during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.

Located in Glen Rose and built in 1894, The Somervell County Courthouse is a simple two story structure featuring elements of Romanesque Revival and General Grant architectural styles. Intersecting hallways on the first floor divide the first floor space into four sections. The second floor features a courtroom and some office space. The building is modest in size, oblong in shape, and approximately 60 feet wide and 40 feet deep. It was declared a Texas Historic Landmark in 1963.
